Volunteers make blankets for those with cancer on Giving Tuesday

The Holiday season is upon us, and the spirit of giving is in the air. As part of OneOC’s days of service, Season of Giving helps lift up our neighbors in need, by providing managed projects from November through December, to engage community members in serving a variety of local needs. YANA-Cancer Comfort held their signature project on #GivingTuesday at the American Cancer Society office in Santa Ana and were featured in the Orange County Register (Read full story here >>):
You Are Not Alone. That’s the message and the mission of YANA-Cancer Comfort, a nonprofit made up of cancer survivors who provide support and encouragement to cancer patients through care packages containing a hand-tied fleece blanket, handmade cap, and other items. For Tuesday’s Day of Giving, YANA volunteers got together at the American Cancer Society office in Santa Ana to tie the blankets.
